Pros

Working at Tixr (London office) can have a bit of a start-up feel, which I’ve really enjoyed. The London team is small, close-knit, and collaborative, but you also get some of the backing of the larger US-based company. This provides good opportunity to progress and grow. The team culture is genuinely strong. Everyone is willing to jump in and help, and there’s a shared sense of ownership. The pace is fast, which keeps things exciting and gives you exposure to a lot of different challenges and clients. If you’re someone who likes to take initiative and “dig in,” you’ll thrive here. Onboarding support is solid, there’s a real effort to help new starters succeed and feel integrated into the team.

Cons

Because it’s fast-paced and events-driven, things can feel chaotic at times. You need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities and balancing client demands when everyone else is busy with other things. The workload can feel like a lot at times, especially while you’re still learning the ropes. That said, some of this comes with the territory of the events industry, and if you’re adaptable and proactive, it’s manageable.

Incredible tech, awful leadership

Pros

The team: hard working, driven and dedicated The tech: innovative, trailblazing and ever-evolving The culture: upbeat, social and exciting

Cons

The leadership: unappreciative, short-sighted and, at times, incompetent. The product and team are so amazing, but I fear without proper leadership, prioritization and direction the company will fail. 2023 has seen a lot of incredible people axed, without real thought or explanation and I (like a lot of others) don't think it'll stop there.

Pros

- Most people are smart, creative, dedicated, and passionate - Best Engineering/Product team and platform I've ever worked with - Access to some cool events

Cons

- The CEO Robert Davari is single-handedly sinking this company with his short-sighted decision making and inflated ego, and everyone from top to bottom knows it. - Rampant favoritism and toxic positivity disguised as 'culture' - No career mobility or salary increases for high performers in client facing departments
