HR treats sick, or those seeking benefit assistance very poorly. In the pandemic, HR was by far the worst component of the company, not communicating with sick employees and taking action with no notification. A large reason for turnover in the company.

The best way to increase pay and position in this company (same as far too many Calibration companies) is to leave and reapply. Advancement is slow despite talent, and raises are poor compared to starting negotiated pay for new employees.
