Pros

Service to clients is high quality. Provides lots of experience for new employees. New employees entrusted with meaningful tasks and given a lot of responsibility - albeit sometimes before they are ready. Training is largely sink or swim. Salary and benefits are average to above-average for the industry, but the extraordinary demands and hours make it hardly worthwhile.

Cons

Management is demeaning, abusive, and vindictive. One need only to look at the extreme turnover at this firm to know that something is very very wrong. Criticism is not constructive; it's sarcastic, personal, and demoralizing. Owners treat all employees like children. They are elitist and give no credit to the team that supports their work. Employees are expected to answer emails at all hours of the evening and weekends, and drop plans without notice. That happens sometimes in this industry, but way too often here, and no thanks or appreciation is given for these sacrifices. Pay is decent, but for the amount of hours worked, far less per hour than any other company. As an employee, you will earn pennies compared to the amount of money you will make for the owners. Management will flaunt $100,000 jewelry while employees can barely pay their rent in LA. Most importantly, they want to remain the stars of the company and do not encourage employee growth or development. NOT worth it. Better to look elsewhere. (Note: the person who wrote the positive review for this firm was asked by management to write it - demonstrates how manipulative management can be)

Pros

Interesting cases and nice colleagues.

Cons

Two faced management. Top down culture of disparaging people and humiliation. Extreme micro-managing. Smoke and mirrors for clients. High turnover rate because of environment, though they pretend otherwise. Think they are better than they actually are. Better places to learn the business than this company. High levels of narcissism, disrespect, favoritism, and histrionics from upper management. Treat employees well in front of clients but poorly in the office. It is not worth it to work here.

Pros

Those at the research level were amazingly supportive, hard-working, incredibly smart, and we all really worked as a team. I think we all bonded so well because of how horrible we were treated. It's like fraternity pledges bonding over the hazing. The work is very interesting.

Cons

I second every single negative review. Management was manipulative, condescending, unrealistic, and just downright nasty. The sad thing is that this treatment is absolutely top-down and encouraged. There were some great people who basically were scared of the owner and treated everyone else so badly because they knew they would hear about it if they didn't. Researchers were treated even worse than everyone else. In fact, when someone was promoted and became a consultant, they were encouraged by the owner to stop associating with us! God help you if you had a single typo in a 7-page plus transcribed interview after working an 18-hour day. You would feel the wrath of God come down on you. So not worth it. There are way better companies out there with management who actually wants you to grow and succeed. It's such a shame. I saw some incredibly wonderful and talented people quit because of management. Yet, for some reason, that doesn't sink in? Narcissism at it's worst. Terrible.
