Pros

Great pay for a fintech that is operated out of a bank and not bad hours

Cons

The management team and the biblical culture represent the ultimate wolf in sheep's clothing. On the outside things seem harmless, welcoming, even biblically aligned. They make you believe there is a ton of opportunity and that the team is crushing it and there's nothing wrong in the business, when it is actually just a total mess. The executive leadership team is more focused on the CEO 'picking' them than actually executing on business plans. Truly scares me that cultures like these still exist.

Pros

Strong technical talent at the individual contributor level. Some team members were collaborative and capable.

Cons

Leadership lacked transparency and consistency. Role expectations frequently shifted without clear communication or structured feedback. Performance management processes felt vague and reactive rather than developmental. Internal mobility discussions were not always formalized, leading to unclear reporting structures and reduced visibility. Employees could experience reduced responsibilities without clear explanation or coaching. Meeting inclusion and strategic alignment were inconsistent, which made it difficult to understand long-term direction or growth path. Raises and advancement opportunities appeared disconnected from performance clarity.

Disconnected leadership and a culture of fear

Pros

There are individual contributors that’s shine but they are overshadowed by a fear mentality.

Cons

Leadership is largely homogeneous and disconnected from modern workplace realities. There is little diversity of background, perspective, or thought at the senior level, resulting in outdated decision-making and resistance to change. The absence of clear vision or strategic direction leads to excessive micromanagement, creating an environment where employees are set up to fail. When failures occur, accountability is handled publicly rather than constructively, which damages morale and trust. Career progression is extremely limited. Promotions are rare and, when they do occur, are perceived to be driven more by internal politics and favoritism than by performance or merit. This further discourages high performers and reinforces a culture where innovation, inclusion, and new ideas are actively suppressed.
