Steer clear of this sinking ship

Pros

Good benefits and cool co workers but that’s about it

Cons

This company is careening into the ground and probably won’t survive much longer having just laid off 30% of its staff the day before Thanksgiving. This mass layoff was done in a callous group zoom meeting where employees were told through a google slides presentation that they were being let go rather than one on one calls. They’re losing clients left and right and as a result can no longer afford to pay their employees. Tubescience is not long for this world and anyone still remaining should start applying to other jobs before it’s too late. The CEO is a narcissist who is single-handedly destroying his own company. He prides himself on transparency hosting weekly “ask me anything” meetings where employees can submit questions anonymously but never answers any of the difficult questions honestly. He’s very evasive and gives generic answers that don’t mean anything. He’s about as transparent as a brick wall. Avoid this place at all costs.

Truly the worst company I've ever worked for

Pros

Only positive is that I no longer work here

Cons

I saw the other reviews here on Glassdoor after my first day on the job and let me tell you, I should've listened to all the red flags. By the end of my first week I was already searching for a new job and would have even taken a pay cut but I was unfortunately talked out of it by my spouse. This company doesn't care about you and will spit you out just as quickly as they hired you with no remorse and apparently no reason (although at this point it's common knowledge that they're losing clients left and right). There is a massive disconnect in communication from top to bottom-they don't even know if they should be hiring people or not. Room for advancement is rare and the conditions are vague and often up for interpretation by upper-management. Little effort is made to train new employees and they'll expect you to be producing content before you even have access to everything you need because the IT team is understaffed and can't seem to figure out how to grant universal access or have much of anything set up for you when you come aboard (seriously took 3 weeks and all they kept telling me was to submit an IT ticket and be patient but also had workloads for me that required said access). Hilariously enough though they were able to cut off the 60+ employees in the mass Thanksgiving layoff in just about an hour. Completely unprofessional in the manner they went about the layoff through a group Zoom call too with the CEO signing off with "Our door is always open to employment opportunities in the future" after just canning 30-40% of the company the day before Thanksgiving. I could go on and on with this review but there truly is nothing positive about this shady company and if this convinces even one person from working here I consider it a win. Good luck to those who are still there and I look forward to reading the future reviews that roll in about this horrendous place.

Pros

- A few cool coworkers - semi competitive salary - Cool looking office - Unlimited PTO - Monthly team bonding - Good medical insurance --------that's about it, not much more than that

Cons

- Mid level management (your manager) don't care about their employee's happiness, they're just looking out to cover their own behinds - CEO only cares about money and performance, at the cost of your mental health - ALL of the good, original employees have left - FOR A REASON - The CEO is trying *really hard to be 'WOKE' but its really cringe and cheesy - Management change directions on a whim, sometimes doing a complete *180 - Management changes its mind constantly, and you are left responsible for 'not meeting goals' - they claim 'we're a startup, you need to be ok with that' - Projects you work hard on will go unrecognized, guaranteed! - Some people work 10 hour days regularly - New employees dont get training on how to use the systems and need to ask different people to pick it up - Communication is Horrible, on all levels. HR doesn't communicate the way I have had at other companies - Things aren't announced like they should be, you have to hear from the grapevine and if you did not, *its your fault - If you weren't invited to a meeting and don't know the latest news, *its your fault - Middle level managers are some of the most lazy people i have seen - messy organization structure; keeps changing - Things change all the time, for the worse. - Company lied about bonuses and we had an exodus in the middle of the year, 20ish people left - Good people are not appreciated, and the schmoozers move up because they leave a good impression with the CEO
