Long commute.
Old office with air quality problems.
Worst on boarding program I've experienced.
Poor management
- keep emphasising profits and hitting (unrealistic) targets, yet provides no vision, strategy, nor support on how to get there.
Serious office politics going on
- middle and even some upper management are very insecure and they only want to protect their own interests and positions, they keep micromanaging employees down to very minor details, forcing their unjustified opinions on others. They think they know the best and know it all.
- Most of them are hypocrites, they keep saying they welcome new ideas, but their actions don't support that at all, what they do is banning and criticising your ideas without legitimate reasons even when they have no experience in your field.
- You're hired as a senior but they treat you like an intern or a junior. You are not allowed to make any decisions on your own, a lot of managers will get themselves involved in your work and they will throw out their diverse opinions without being backed by facts. You end up confused and still you are not allowed to make any decisions even though you are supposed to be the owner, the cycle repeats for everything you do, regardless of high or low level stuff.
-Some managers are very good in diplomatically bullying and belittling others. Upper management knows about this yet they just turn a blind eye to it. A lot of employees are unmotivated and even depressed. Good people keep leaving and they wonder why they have problem attracting talents.
No career growth here, I've seen people being in the exact same position for 5-10 years.
Honestly look somewhere else if you can't deal with insane workplace politics that can destroy you as a person. All the money in the world is not worth your sanity.
