In production probably 99% are women. Most are nice but you know how it goes with women....some bickering, gossip, and talking behind each others back. The croatians talk to each other in croation which is sometimes annoying. Not much different then if two people were whispering to each other like children; kind of rude. The biggest issues are the "dings" (I'll get to that) and the pay. Starting pay is $9.50. After the 90 day review all the new people thought they would get a raise.....wrong. They only give raises once a year. Most I talked to only got twenty-five cents. Not sure what the higher ones were. So after a year you more than likely still won't be making $10 an hour and then you have to wait a whole other year till the next raise. OK, the dings. Any time you make an error you get a ding. Dings go against your review making it very hard to earn the higher bonus & yearly raise. If you come in late or call-off without advance notice you get a ding (like I know ahead of time that I'm going to be sick?). But they did recently restructure that a bit. If you go to the Dr. and bring a note they will waive the ding for that. But I don't know about everyone else but I don't go to the Dr. if I get the flu, or a bad cold, I just let it runs it's course. Seems like the harder you try NOT to get a ding the more likely you are to get one. You have to scan in & out of jobs. If you are going back and forth between jobs it is a lot easier then you would think to make a mistake. You have paperwork for each job to complete. If you forget to put a lot # down or the rev # or you employee ID # you get a ding. It sometimes feels like they don't want to give the higher bonus' and raises so this is their way around it.
