I worked at Under Armour part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You are able to be your own boss essentially. From marketing, to when/how shipment is processed to floor organization.
Option to run the sales floor when managers are busy, giving you at least 2 hours of downtime out of your department
Rarely on the cash register, and if you are it's because the line is ridiculously long

    Cons

More mismates than you can imagine
Part time status but working full time hours
    No benefits
Managers treat you as if you're a fulltime manager when you're not even ranked high enough to get keys, nor bear their responsibilities.
    Poor annual raises
The company promotes from within, but not from within the store you're working (at least not to a managerial level)

    Advice to Management

If you want your employees to go above and beyond, at least pay them more.

    Pros

Under Armour is an incredible place to work. This company excels when it comes to corporate partnership with the retail field. When employees from the retail field asks, our corporate business partners listen, take action, and follow up to gain better understanding. Like any job, there are obstacles, but with Under Armour there is never a doubt that the company is working diligently to be the best at getting better. As a retail store manager you own the right to create an engaging culture in your store. You control your four walls and when it come to bonusnpotential the sky is the limit.

    Cons

No cons. Only boundaries to bend.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you’re doing. Continue to listen to the retail stores and what they have to say. The improvements that you’ve made in the last six months are gaining traction and WE WILL keep getting better.

"Great potential, but chaotic org and Senior Leadership does not have a clear strategy"

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Under Armour full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A fair amount of knowledgable, talented and highly motivated employees.
Overall compensation very respectable within industry.

    Cons

The lack of structure and clear strategy results in a very chaotic environment, high turnover and unfortunately the loss of some very knowledgeable and experienced employees.

    Advice to Management

UA established themselves as an authentic high-performance APPAREL brand. The brand has high potential, but the degree of ignorance and arrogance at the top to become the #1 athletic apparel, FOOTWEAR and EQUIPMENT brand within an unrealistic timeframe has resulted in major setbacks with very high personnel turnover. Leadership needs to focus on executing what they do well and not pursue aggressive growth in all areas at once.

Pay isn’t very good compared to other places.
