      Pros

      Great mission, but focus has turned to business only and stepped away from education. People who joined prior to transition of last year are great but company is being dismantled.

      Cons

      Poor work culture and under-appreciation of employees. Change in leadership is causing a ripple-effect.

      Pros

      The idea of providing students a debt-free education option is a good one . . .

      Cons

      A culture of fear (frequent layoffs). Layoffs bring IMMEDIATE termination of health insurance and loss of all money placed in health savings acct. Policies that harm students (all undergrad students on campus were forced into the online program, very much against their will). Statistics manipulated to make school look good for WASC accreditation.

      Unstable startup company with a good idea but poor execution

      Pros

      Although I gained good working experience in higher education, this startup just doesn't seem to have it's act together. They have a great idea, low priced higher education, but can't seem to execute it properly. There is a good atmosphere in the office, but is counteracted by lack of communication between departments and with upper management. Flexible scheduling and work from home opportunities were nice.

      Cons

      The courses constantly receive student complaints and its unclear how they should be answered. This affects enrollment and growth of company. There is no communication between management and employees and after 2 company wide lay offs a 3rd seems possible in the future.
