Pros

Big clients, talented creatives, supportive peers, fun office activities (if you can actually make time for them)

Cons

A very damaging work/life balance and lack of any real care for its colleagues mental health. Very normal to work until 10pm-11pm most evenings, join meetings over weekends etc. And sadly, as a consequence its very normal for employees to be signed off work due to stress (myself included). Despite the kind words you might receive from your peers or manager when this happens, it doesn't change the way VCCP manages its resource and employee workload upon you returning to work. At the time of me handing in my notice, resource was so tight across the board from permanent and freelance colleagues fleeing (apparently VCCP made such a name for itself among freelance producers that no one would come work for them) - I wasn't sure how on earth it was going to stay afloat. Couldn't be more happier at my decision to finally leave, I didn't know there were jobs out there that actually allowed you to clock off at 6pm.

Pros

Some great people, good work and an agency that has real momentum behind it. Great new biz record.

Cons

Zero work/life balance. Bad processes - too much input and personal opinions from leadership. Poor blame culture - feels like a fear culture. Pitches feel life or death and no real reward at the end of it, just on to the next pitch or big project. Over-promise clients which creates inevitable burnt-out of account teams. Feel of panic and manic energy in the air.

Pros

- Nice office - Onboarding gift bag - Regular industry presentations

Cons

- Dog eat dog, sink or swim culture - Severe lack of support from management - Culture of blame and lies - Resource is prioritised to accounts like 02 - Project Managers go through a revolving door and lack knowledge of internal process - Team was severely under resourced and manager had no problem leaving on time whilst others stayed back super late
