Pros

Paycheck and the people. Unlimited vacation days (in which you will still have to answer emails and calls and attend meetings virtually on your days off).

Cons

Due to some (unnecessary) role merging, there was a mass exodus of employees who were forced into roles that were not appropriate for their skill and experience levels. Jobs they didn't sign up for. They were completely in the right by leaving. HR was completely absent and never replaced any of the roles. Company went from over 50 people to less than 20 in a matter of months. And then there were layoffs. Big ones. And who did they lay off? The remaining employees who were necessary for day to day with clients. Not one person from leadership team was selected. On top of that, problematic and egotistical leadership moves lead to a shift in the atmosphere. It became quite toxic, with clients leaving left and right due to sub-par service. Overworked employees trying to provide good service with no tools to do so with were blamed for the company's massive spiral. It's unfortunate that this has happened, there are some really amazing people still there that didn't deserve this.

Pros

They will probably pay you

Cons

There is somehow a lot to say about Varick and not a lot to say… all in all it’s a difficult place to work and not the fun kind of “challenge” you might want in a career. TBH there are plenty of other places you can work that won’t induce this level of unnecessary stress. - Leadership seems truly confounded on how to create a stable workplace. Some of the most clueless and self-centered people I've ever met. - Employees are given a heavy workload with little training to begin with, and even less support down the road - There is a major disconnect between what our clients expect and what we can deliver, which translates into unrealistic asks from management, giving employees a sense that they are unsuccessful despite doing their best

Pros

You get a paycheck, that's it.

Cons

- The turnover at Varick in the last 6 months has been extremely high. I think there are about 10 people that actually work there now..... - Senior Management continuously turns a blind eye to the concerns of their employees, and this is the main reason for all of the turnover. With all these employees leaving, management still makes little to no effort to replace employees who have left. - Current employees at Varick are forced to fill roles they are not prepared/qualified for due to insufficient staffing - NO TRAINING, NO INTERNAL DOCUMENTS, NO PROCESS, ZERO ONBOARDING TO NEW CLIENTS - There is a large disconnect between the quality of work that we advertise to our clients/the industry and what the company is actually capable of delivering .... -A lot of the current clients are not happy at all with the level of service or performance we have delivered on..........
