Pros
Until last year when it went under, it was an exciting place to work
Cons
Changes in ownership caused the company to collapse. The last Chinese owners didn't know where they wanted to take it, so it went no-where.

Pros
Vertu promotes an entrepreneurial atmosphere, where employees are empowered to bring a good idea to life, as long as they can prove it makes good business sense and can put the hard work behind it. It is a company with global outreach yet it is small enough for one to meet and know every key player, which promotes a good team building environment and helps to promote initiatives and projects with all stakeholders. Vertu has demonstrated to be an innovative company, not only in the way they have created products but also in its marketing and brand management.
Cons
For the past four to five years, especially after the company was sold from Nokia to EQT, there has been a lot of changes in top management. This has created continuous changes on the whole structure of the company and also changes on the strategic direction of the company. Recently the company was sold from EQT to a Chinese group which has brought again changes in top management which promises more structural and strategic changes in the company.

Cons

Pros
Wages were ok. Had so much free time as it wasn't busy. Uniform supplied. Phone supplied (old and out of date ones)
Cons
Poor management and sense of direction. Could no manage and lead. Commission structure kept changing and reducing. Lack of communication. Staff are undervalued and can be replaced at anytime. If they want you to go, they will find every way to do so. The store manager thinks he knows it all with no experience in luxury phones and store management. Lack of listening to staff advise to help and improve the company. Keeps changing the forecast and direction of Vertu. There are no one to speak to other than HR, to prevent whistle blowing. Targets were not achieved due to poor new management's leadership and stubbornness. 70% of the team left due to new managements lack of support and leadership. Staff are not appreciated and are merely tools.

Pros
Pleasant working environment and great people. Small company feel, with decent salary and benefits. Interesting products. I have enjoyed working here and hope that the company prospers in the future.
Cons
Recent years have seen a number of rounds of redundancies and lots of management changes, leading to quite an unstable working environment. The management do not seem to have a clear idea of what they want from the company, leading to various costly changes in direction. Too many managers have a input to decisions so sometimes there seems to be a paralysis in decision making. This has got worse by stages since the company was sold by Nokia and then by EQT.

Pros
All business departments in one building makes for a very friendly, family atmosphere. Working within the mobile phone industry means that projects and challenging and fast-paced, but you get exposed to some very interesting technology. Management are generally approachable and the company is rather good at communicating important information to all it's staff. Other benefits include a great on-site canteen and (relatively) flexible working hours.
Cons
Going through some changes at the moment and it has lost it's direction. A little guilty at making the same mistakes over again due to some teams not trusting each other enough. Not a great deal of social-life goes on after hours - most people drive into work and all go their separate ways after work.

Pros
Get to work with some fantastic people, enjoy working on all these projects and get to travel like with the EPOS Project roll out just completed. Gives a great satisfaction taking part in some of the biggest projects to affect the future of the company. Get given enough encouragement to improve yourself and your work experience and knowledge.
Cons
Sometimes i wonder if all departments are pulling the same way and it has got slightly political internally which affects the mood and the atmosphere at times.
