Depressing work-place, no pension

Pros

Young company Can learn a lot and start a good career

Cons

No work-life balance, working until late is expected. Working from home on evenings and weekends are expected. Working on Bank Holidays is expected. No Employer-contribution to pension AT ALL, 0%. No perks, etc. As a result of all the above, many employees are depressed and cynical about their work there, which makes it a depressing place to work in many ways.

We were surprised, and disappointed, to see these comments. Have you shared any of your concerns with Human Resources or your direct supervisor? General feedback in the London office has been very positive, with the majority of staff saying that they love working for Videology because we are doing very exciting, cutting-edge things across our business. The staff in London has a high level of engagement, a strong sense of collaboration as evidenced during the multiple team events held throughout the course of this year. On the whole, employees enjoy the Videology culture and work hard because they enjoy the challenges of a fast growing business, and the opportunity that represents given our position in the TV advertising ecosystem. We appreciate your frank feedback, and strongly encourage you to meet with your Manager or Human Resources so that they can directly address your concerns.

Pros

- smart people - a lot of freedom to operate as you see fit - purist approach to their job and technology - respect their clients and partners - no BS or internal politics

Cons

- Tech is somewhat a let-down, or a tad late in the game - No benefits whatsoever - none - pay is so-so - shifting strategy all teh time, some call it being nimble, but when that occurs every two weeks that's called knee-jerk

As a company focused on continually assessing and positively impacting our current work environment, we’d like to take a moment to provide Glassdoor readers some insight into the benefits we have to offer. Videology currently offers a wealth of employee benefits, providing a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that attracts, retains, and engages our workforce. From health care benefits (medical/dental/vision, life & disability coverage, a robust wellness program) to the financial (variable compensation plan, equity options), we aim to meet our employees’ needs. In addition, there are plenty of “me” benefits focused on fostering employee satisfaction and success (such as paid time off, flexible scheduling, employee development programs – and a soon-to-be-announced employee recognition program). In terms of compensation: Videology’s base compensation is competitive within the markets we reside. And, based on past reviews, employees know there’s a ton of opportunity to grow (and earn more) within this company. We are constantly reviewing and evolving our benefit offerings to best align with the needs of our employees. We have accomplished so much over the past few years; in January 2014, our executive team outlined key strategic priorities for all of us to ensure we continue on this trajectory. We have not wavered on these priorities though we must continually assess the best pathway to success. Pretty typical in this fast-paced industry! Visit our website (www.videologygroup.com) to learn more about what we have to offer!
