Pros

If you're in a manager position it's a great job I'm sure. I love how they list free parking as a perk. Thanks for letting me use your parking lot for free! Might as well include the fact there isn't a building access fee too! Oh, and the bathroom usage is free!

Cons

The little people in the company get walked over while the management and sales team talk about their raises and bonuses. I work in the warehouse and it seems like no one really cares about us. I've been told by some people in the office how many raises they have received in under a year while it took me going on 3 years of coming in early, staying late and working through lunches to get the smallest raise possible. I was promised a promotion if I continued to work hard and prove myself. Review time came and I improved in every area...Still no promotion. I thought working for a smaller company would be better, I was dead wrong. It's more work and less pay. You can't talk about things with your manager either. I brought up how upsetting the situation is to my manager, but he just shrugged it off. I've had him come to me and laugh about another co-workers issue too. I can only assume he did the same with me. Oh, and sure you have PTO, but you have to put up with a manager who will break you down if you have a fever. He doesn't care if you a a fever and have been throwing up all night, he will question your work ethic. Yet he will call in for the smallest reasons. There is absolutely 0 growth!

Thank you for your feedback! We had already taken to heart your feedback in your exit interview and I'm happy to report that we have just created two new lead positions, as well as another manager position. These positions create growth for our employees and provide leadership and direction within our teams. We have also done compensation reviews with our entire team and will do them again on our annual schedule. We value our employees and their feedback. Thank you again for your comments and know that we listened! Feel free to give Human Resources a call if we can be of more help.

Pros

This was a good job to learn business conduct and the basics of supply chain. Stay 2 years and move on.

Cons

There was a small group of people that did most of the work. Many people skate by doing the bare minimum. The good people burn out and leave because they are over worked, under paid, and under appreciated. Pay raises are negligble and they string people along with BBQs that the employees cook at and lame team events like scavenger hunts and "fitness" walks. Because it is a small company, there is little to no room for career advancement. If you get "promoted" to a lead, it doesn't come with a pay increase. They carry a lot of sub par products with high rates of return. The buyers only know how to buy but not how to read a market or properly vet products. Don't be fooled by the top workplace awards. Fear driven encouragement by HR with an email of how to answer the survey is why they get the award.

Pros

You may enjoy some of your coworkers.

Cons

If companies were TV shows, this one would be Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Management is a clique, and there is very little, real leadership. Some of the more tenured managers have been described as often being passive-aggressive with lower-level employees. Employee turnover is at a staggering level, so you may find yourself onboarding/working with someone new every few months. The company offers under-market salaries and pizza parties in lieu of raises. Certain departments may promise raises/title changes only to string you along for several months and never mention it again. There truly isn't a lot of room for career growth here. You may have to fight for what you deserve and even then, management may turn on you and shove you out for speaking up. Lastly, as has been previously stated, don’t believe the fake, positive reviews.

We appreciate your feedback and would like to address some of the key points where clarity is required. Being a small, privately held company it can be challenging to have a dedicated career path for each employee. That said, we strive to have those conversations at every opportunity to ensure every person can be their best selves at work. Regardless of the level of experience, everyone that comes through our doors has an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge of the supply chain as it relates to product distribution. This builds experience whether an employee chooses to build a career here or elsewhere; and we are humbled to be part of their journey. We are always focused on our team, and the vast majority of all feedback we receive from our employees reflects a high-level of satisfaction across the organization.
