Pros

Only pro is there are other people there, so once you realise what's really going on you can console yourself knowing you were not the only person that wasted part of there life!!

Cons

Hmm lets see... You go for an interview in an excuse for an office above a shop. The whole time you are there, everyone from the assistant to the manager is trying to give the impression of professionalism. (Trust me it's the same everyday. Listen to the receptionist do call backs to successful applicants about there cv!! Sound familiar? Everybody gets the same rant about how there was something interesting in there cv that appealed to the manager! You will fill out a background check form that could say anything, they really don't care it's for legal reasons and show. After your second interview they will leave the room (manager and team leader) and pretend to discuss the outcome of your probation/interview. This is called "fear of loss". They do it so you actually feel like you've achieved something when they say "we're gonna give you a shot, you've got the job". In truth if you've been brought back to the office it means you've got it anyway, everything else???? You've got it, just for show. Then they will phone you before you get home. This is to pretend to congratulate you again or make sure you get home safe. In truth, it's to once again reinforce the feeling you've achieved something and to ensure whenever you go speak to friends/relatives they can't burst the reinforced bubble they created from the so called final interview and they can't convince you not to take such a ridiculous hateful job because you've seen it work yourself. (Quite cunning actually). You will also notice they want you to start ASAP because if you ask to leave it too long you will have time to reflect on what you've seen or heard and make the wise choice yourself. Anybody can get the job it's all about numbers. Each door to door direct debit you set up earns the owner gets 40%. Multiply that by 10 or 20 brainwashed idiots that think they are going somewhere because they've been told in private that 'they have potential' and they are 'management material' (nearly everyone lol) and the manager makes a lot of money. That's why they try and create a fun environment and why they pretend they care. The truth is they yap like mad about you behind your back and even if you only make one sale a day, after up to 12 hrs from when you leave home until you get back, walking around in the rain getting told where to go by over 100 people a day in there homes. These people were enjoying there day until you knock on their door and hope they will listen to you rhyme off a pitch in the pathetic hope you can make them feel guilty not giving to charity ....that one sale will not satisfy you! They do not want to hear negatives! They do not care about your home life or your health, if your sick your weak! All they care about is adding their 40% of that sale, however menial it may seem to their daily tariff and it all adds up. They will then tell you it's just some coaching and you will do the same thing the next day etc etc etc.... I did make a good few sales each day but this does not compensate for the effort. I was also stupid enough to presume I could be that 1%. You become a team leader in a week and then you are expected to take people out everyday to try and convince them it's worth it (paying for there travel out of your own pocket as the manager will tell you constantly this means nothing to a team leader as they are making up of £350 a week and if they aren't they are wasting an opportunity ) Everything is for show, from the owners watch to the team night out. Everyone pretends to be doing well and is told to convey that so new people constantly come on board. You only have to be there 1-2 weeks before you realise loads of people leave constantly and only one person in 2 years got promoted in this actual office and that once again was a token to make you see promotion is possible. If you don't believe me ask how many people have left? It's like the white elephant in the room, nobody ever says anybody leaves rather they were weak or hadn't the confidence or were let go. The company is there a couple of years it takes possible recruits out daily which adds up to hundreds a year but no-one (maybe one guy) gets promoted. Do the figures add up? Yes. Are their stories real? They change (listen closely). Do they tell you everything? Not a mission. I must confess, I was brainwashed to a certain degree but I always remember conflicting evidence of cover ups and pretend success. Nothing is what it seems and if you've heard it so has hundreds before you, it's just now your turn to learn a lesson. Parents should never let there kids do this its just embarrassing disturbing people in there homes. It's a joke but on the upside you can always look at the job afterwards and know the only way is up:) You've been warned.

Pros

There are none, no basic pay. No employee rights. This is a horrible place to work, a job based purely on lies.

Cons

Everything that could be done wrong within a company is epitomised by this sham of a company. I would recommend that you avoid this place at all costs. I was only told that I would be selling funeral plans in shopping centres at the second interview and promised a salary of £250 a week which didn't come to fruition. I was told that i would be managing and organising events and learning to become a manager, when it really involves putting cards on a table and learning a pitch. There is no real training and have been left out of pocket for a summer job. I was told that my travel costs would be paid and haven't received a penny. The "Managing Director" refuses to answer my calls.
