Pros

Free beer and wine. Some snacks. Relaxed environment at times with questionable accountability.

Cons

Conflict of interest everywhere you look. I have never worked somewhere with so much of it. For example vendors aren’t properly screened before bringing on board. Someone’s mate’s, cousin is probably chosen because he told a good joke at the last Australia Day BBQ. That’s not a joke. In the recruitment process for a job and don’t believe me? Take a closer look at the recruiters that your talking to in Volt. They themselves are contractors that don’t care who gets hired. Only that someone gets hired and they get their commission. As employees we see the people they put forward for recruitment purposes and the manipulative pressure tactics they try to use to make us accept candidates that are subpar. If your coming to Volt to work with intelligent people you’ll be disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, there are some. But there are even more in influential roles who ruin it for everyone. Accurate as per February 2020.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I’d like to invite you to contact me directly, in confidence, so I can find out more about your concerns. We care deeply about the experience of our employees here at Volt and if we’ve missed the mark in some places, I’d love to have a candid chat with you about it so we can get on top of it. We’re also committed to ensuring our recruitment process reflects our desire to attract the best talent – as such, our internal recruiters don’t receive commission. That said, we’re always open to suggestions for improvement, and I’d love to get your input on this as well.

Pros

If you can talk and fluff things, this place is for you.

Cons

- They are bunch of bullies . - No ethical or moral company values. - Managers are bullies, the ones they hire are bullies. People there love to talk fluff. - In morning updates they will go around explaining one simple task which can be explained in one line by going round and round about how difficult it was for them to do it. - If you wanna hire a friend, you can do so and no one will check the qualification or their past. Even if you got fired from a place you end up being a head of, or a manager in Volt bank. - HR will not take your complaint in if you are being bullied because they would want to shove it under the carpet. So don't even think about reporting anything what so ever because they instead of calling out the bully will call you out.

Pros

Some good managers who really wanna see you suceed (not even my manager) !! and good people to work with

Cons

Other managers leave early and are cranky and don't do any work. They aren't available. The worst thing is the NEPOTISM in the company. If there is someone who wants to hire their friend they will without considering qualifications or experienced applicants. They just hire people who arent qualified AND I HAVE TO WORK WITH THEM
