Pros

Got to work from home with Covid

Cons

Value stream chaos with no direction…. Managers of managers who couldn’t tell you what direction we were headed. Managers who knew nothing about teammates and the role they did therefore not able to create goals for over a year if not longer! I worked while on medical leave TWICE because no one knew how to do my job which is a big no no. CEO and corporate employees are a joke and are all about what’s in it for me! During Covid we were told not to travel, yet the CEO was on vacation while doing a webex meeting. I remember the meeting the day the person died shortly just before it started. If Brent had any kind of respect he should’ve postponed the meeting. He jumped on the opportunity to take away senior recognition away which is unacceptable. Actually lots of things changed and moral has gone down because of it. The plant is treated like dirt and yet they are the hardest working out of everyone! At one point, I was told to do a job that was clearly a conflict of interest all because the person that was supposed to do it didn’t want to. They have lost so many good people and the ones that are left will be leaving in the next year or 2 so the experience will be slim pickings. It’s sad because you used to have to be related to or know someone to get in and now they have tainted the reputation so badly that people avoid working there like the plague. But corporate world does that, Walker was too good of a name for Wabash anyway. Walker had integrity.

Pros

They conduct employee development programs, such as leadership and job skills training.

Cons

They don't require managers to implement the good management practices that they pay lip service to. This includes quality.

Not REALLY inclusive

Pros

Good pay and continuing education benefits for professional positions.

Cons

What I have seen: *There is little diversity and REAL inclusiveness, especially in professional positions. *They demote and fire people without cause, so always be prepared for the possibility without a reason (even great workers with a good rapport and work history). *Inclusivity doesn't include religious liberty, people that openly live out their beliefs are ostracised, ignored or fired when they don't embrace popular culture (read between the lines). *Most C-Suite execs may be oblivious to the problem, but not HR.
