Pros

My London Ops team generally talented and dedicated team.

Cons

That job taught me firsthand how one can transition from years of high performance and confidence to a state of self-doubt and the lowest self-esteem. The toxic HR department exhibited a “small-town mentality”-favouritism, engaging in gossip, lacking transparency, and prioritising maintaining the headquarters’ Chatham status over fostering overall company growth and development. HR Leadership was motivated by personal biases, emotions, and self-interest, which distorted their judgment and led to flawed business decisions. They were unwilling to take responsibility for their mistakes. The London HQ achievements were consistently undermined through misleading performance reporting. Individual statistics were presented as overall company achievements, creating a false sense of collective contribution and masking the actual performance disparities. High-performing individuals were consistently overlooked, leading to demotivation. I personally endeavoured to foster a culture of transparency and fairness. However, raising concerns resulted in my punishment. Instead of addressing the issues, the HR leaders, threatened by my honesty and fearing exposure to the broader business, deliberately took actions to make me feel unwelcome, undervalued, and ultimately forced out. · Isolation and Exclusion: Colleagues began distancing themselves from me. · Increased Scrutiny: Every decision was scrutinised, and every task was dissected. The intention was to make me doubt myself and exacerbate my anxiety. Furthermore, the newly appointed line manager questioned my self-esteem during a meeting and subsequently inquired about my mental health status. · Negative Performance Reviews: I was suddenly labeled as “underperforming.” Feedback shifted from constructive to critical, despite my consistent top performance in my team each month of my employment. · Verbal and Psychological Harassment: Gaslighting, passive-aggressive remarks, and outright bullying were employed to erode my confidence. · Workload Manipulation: Impossible deadlines were imposed, and meaningful work was stripped away, setting them up for failure. · And finally Legal /HR Retaliation -Without any official warning or fair disciplinary process to challenge the accusations against me, I was abruptly called into an unexpected meeting and labeled as “not a cultural fit.” This led to a forced, quiet exit on the same day—just three months before my two-year anniversary—conveniently denying me the right to challenge this unfair dismissal and harassment in an employment tribunal.

Terrible management if your face don’t fit you will be out. London account managers and directors are criminals.

Pros

Their are absolutely nothing to say.

Cons

I found the management style and workplace culture to be counterproductive, especially considering the company's size and reputation. One of the major concerns I encountered was the presence of certain individuals within the management hierarchy who exhibited behavior that can only be described as toxic. Their actions, unfortunately, perpetuated an inappropriate culture within the company, characterised by sexist attitudes and a sense of exclusivity reminiscent of a closed "boys' club." This type of culture does not align with the values and expectations of a company operating at this scale. Furthermore, I observed a distinct lack of consideration towards the hardworking security staff, who tirelessly put in long hours to ensure the safety of the premises. It was disheartening to witness their mistreatment, while simultaneously witnessing management's apparent disinterest in addressing their concerns. Instead, I noticed a pattern where management would frequently utilise company credit cards for personal expenses, often in the form of excessive food and drink consumption, without taking substantial action to alleviate the burdens faced by the security staff. Given the numerous challenges I encountered during my time at the company, I would caution prospective employees to carefully consider their options before pursuing a career here. If I had the opportunity, I would rate this experience with a negative score. I strongly advise individuals to avoid this company unless they are prepared to commit to an excessive workload that extends beyond the confines of a standard workday. It is my hope that this feedback will serve as constructive criticism, encouraging the management to reflect upon and improve the workplace environment for the benefit of future employees.

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback which we have carefully reviewed. Whilst we appreciate your candour, we must express our deep disappointment regarding the serious points you've made against our organisation and some of our team. We are deeply saddened and concerned to see this, especially after you’ve left our employment without raising your concerns. We work hard to maintain a positive and inclusive environment for all our employees, where everyone is treated with respect, and we believe in the integrity and commitment of our management team. We will always look for ways to improve but find it impossible to stand by and accept unevidenced and defamatory comments that tarnish the reputation of our organisation, our employees and the values that define us. We take pride in our standards and commitment to honesty, transparency, and accountability, and would hope that our employee and client testimonials more than demonstrate this. As such, we would like to seek to better understand the issues you have raised and invite you to discuss them further with us, with your evidence, by writing to our CEO Kevin Ward at kevin@ward-security.co.uk. Best regards, Team Ward
