Pros
Most of the staff and faculty that I have engaged with are positive, dedicated, professional, and student success focused. There are pockets of solid programs, departments, and services throughout the campus. The good at WCC is really good.
Cons
Inconsistent hiring practices...it's sometimes about who you know rather than what you know. Huge discrepancy in pay between the top half and the lower half of the hierarchy. Little to no opportunities for advancement and upward mobility. Leadership typically talks big without backing it up with action. Pockets of poorly run and managed departments and programs = wasted tax dollars.
