Pros

WHen it was owned but the previous owners everything about this place was amazing. Beautiful landscaping, a trail in the woods so you could take walks, amazing breakroom, good pay/benefits and most of all you were always told thank you for doing a great job. You were appreciated. That is what a family owned business will get you......but then the investors buy the company.....

Cons

Once the company was sold (majority holder) to Alpine they waited about a year and then they ripped the rug out fomro everybody. Work became stressful and anxiety ridden. Constant micromanaging and being written up for mistakes like forgetting a comma in an email. I was told if I made ANY mistakes within 30 days I would be fired. Guess what?? I got fired because I am not a perfect robot. My manager made it impossible to work one day without feeling sick to my stomach that I was going to lose my job. Being fired was a RELIEF except for the losing income part which is why I didn't quit.

Pros

some managers were very helpful

Cons

There is no accountability for managers. They can treat you however they want and there is nobody to go to. Investors-Alpine bought majority of this family owned business and took away the positive culture and the ability for teamwork.

Pros

Curriculum products are solid and genuinely make a positive difference in people's lives. Content team members are passionate about supporting effective teaching and learning.

Cons

Sudden major staffing decisions are often made without any apparent analysis of the impact the changes will have on projects and team members. Directors and senior managers aren't informed until the last minute, and project teams are left to figure out how to adapt.
