Pros

It used to be a great way to make additional Summer income and loved the people who worked in special events. Not anymore :(

Cons

Sadly the department I once enjoyed is no longer Leadership within the banquets department routinely operates in self-interest, prioritizing personal advancement and internal politics over ethical management, staff welfare, or operational standards. • Management has actively failed to provide a collaborative or professional working environment, instead allowing division, intimidation, and dysfunction to persist unchecked. • The workplace culture is demonstrably toxic and hostile, marked by fear of retaliation, inconsistent treatment, and a lack of psychological safety for employees. • Discriminatory behavior was observed within management practices and decision-making, with no meaningful corrective action taken despite full awareness of these issues. • Employees who raised concerns, reported misconduct, or questioned improper practices were subjected to retaliation, including punitive scheduling, exclusion, firing, and adverse treatment. • Allegations of repeated sexual harassment involving certain managers were known or reported and were either minimized, ignored, or inadequately addressed, reflecting a serious failure of leadership and HR oversight The lack of accountability at the management level enables continued misconduct and places employees in a vulnerable and unsafe position.
