Pros

Cute product. Employees are nice.

Cons

The owner managed to create a terribly toxic environment. She's only interested in her ideas, frivolously spends money, micromanages and could care less about what her employees can offer. Everyone is hired on to help make improvements and create new processes, but she will never let you stay long enough to make any type of improvement. She holds everyone to such high expectations standards, but falls short on so many of her own objectives. If you're looking to be paid below market value and love being a micromanaged robot who is ready to serve at all hours ( sticking to a schedule is unheard of here) then this is the place for you.

Thank you for your comment. At the time of this review, we had a very small but amazing founding team, and were at the cusp of more fast growth. We brought on a few higher-level employees that didn't last long, which was unfortunate. As a leader, I was trying to navigate my strengths (design, branding, marketing) with the skillsets we desperately needed as new organization growing quickly. We were also experiencing a bit of social media backlash when we experience an influx of these negative reviews. Regardless, each review is read and contemplated and we hope to take away the points we can implement into the organization and leadership to improve the atmosphere and culture here at Wunderkin. :)

Outlook not good

Pros

Ability to work from home and sew. Get to work with great products and make some friends

Cons

Leadership is disorganized, makes a lot of promises they can’t keep and is not cultivating atmosphere of trust. Roles and expectations constantly changing and not always clear. Communication severely declined. Social media scandals. Love the product but sadly the future outlook is not good at all. Low wages, no job security. Unreasonable contract.

Thank you for this review. We love working with our stay-at-home seamstresses from around the US. The quality and attention to detail is incredible, thanks for the love and care infused into each bow made. Unfortunately, during the period of fast growth and our attempt to scale a "handmade" product, we did our best to communicate and expand. However, we are so sorry that the experience was not great for everyone. We had a small period of time after a social media period of backlash, where we had to downsize our seamstress team of contractors. During this period, we accrued some of these negative reviews.
