Pros

All “pros” you’re reading are lies.

Cons

Be warned, the 1 star reviews are FACTUAL and deserve a Pulitzer...goes to show how talented former staff is!! Working at b&B was a true setback in my career. The company, from top to bottom, is extremely toxic, and my mental health could not be better post b&B. You can get a taste for just how horrific leadership is by reading the snarky responses to genuine feedback. Classy.

Pros

The clients run amazing businesses, the PR team gets clients great press and there are some nice ladies working there. If you're a food or drink business in need of exposure, definitely work with BBPR because they will take care of you extremely well.

Cons

Where do I begin. "Training" lasts about a day and needs to be longer and more hands-on with new hires before they're assigned to work intimately with clients. I can't speak for the PR side, but on the digital side it's a lot like high school in the LA office. There's a lot of favoritism displayed. Gossip is another issue, not only with actively talking about people you're in the same room as, but also trashing out other employees working at outside offices such as the Dallas location. Real mature. As for the work-life balance, what is that again? Everyone is more or less chained in front of their computers and smartphones from the beginning of the day to the end of it, to the point where someone will say, "I have to go to the bathroom" and then never get up to go because that means being away from your inbox for a few minutes. (It's okay to not be answering emails every minute of the day!) tl:dr Working there was a lot of running to stand still.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We are proud that in the two years since this review, we have not only continued to grow and expand into new markets with eight offices and 65+ talented, kind and dedicated employees, but we have improved our training program tremendously. We now offer a robust training program that lasts two weeks, or longer if needed, with detailed itineraries, plenty of opportunities for shadowing, and multiple check-ins from management to ensure nothing is being missed. We keep work/life balance of chief concern and have added new programs such as Unlimited Vacation, Work From Home Days, Summer Fridays, Flexible Hours, Summer Vacation Award, Birthday Holiday and more. Bread & Butter has experienced rapid growth (still growing!) in our ten years in business and we are grateful for our loyal and hard-working employees who have evolved with us and contributed to our success.

Pros

working with talented team members

Cons

the lack of culture and growth on top of a toxic environment is no place to work. Apply somewhere that values, supports, and invest in their employees. If you liked highschool and want a trip down memory lane of the backstabbing mean girls, then apply this is the company for you.
