Pros

Diverse workforce. Friendly junior staff. Cool projects depending on your team. Office location. Snacks & Freebies.

Cons

No hybrid flexibility. Paid parking. Disorganized upper management. CEO audibly yells at upper staff in an open office setting. Lack of communication with junior staff. Difficult to grow within the company. Employee turnover. CEO/Upper management stuck in their ways, despite constant communication from past and current employees; and competitive job postings. Weaker employees aren't encouraged to succeed, but their work is given to stronger staff.

Pros

Good starting salary, OK health insurance Breakfast on Fridays and snacks Absolutely nothing else

Cons

- No job security - The amount of people they hire and fire - people have been being hired and fired on a monthly/weekly basis. As soon as they don't need you anymore they will let you go without a second thought. - The company only cares about money - not design or their people. - Absolutely no flexibility - If you are looking for a work-life balance or want to have a family turn around and walk away. - No salary increases - The pay is decent, but don't think that you can ask for more after you start. People get let go for asking for raises. They also lay off employees with high salaries to hire employees for lower salaries. - No morals - No sustainability efforts. If you are looking for sustainable design, this is the opposite - Male dominated - No female upper management at all - they fired them all. - CEO is terrible - yells and swears constantly in the office, no professionalism whatsoever. - You cannot role over vacation time - Minimal holidays, company does not even let employees early on Christmas eve.

Pros

Great office and amenities. People are very social and the environment feels busy and exciting. Team communication was strong and time spent learning was encouraged. Great support from team members, and well established standards.

Cons

Benefits and vacation time were below industry norms for the city. Administrative communication felt limited and unwelcoming at times. I was terminated less than two weeks after starting the role, without explanation. The majority of my time was spent completing onboarding and administrative tasks, and the termination occurred before any meaningful performance metrics could be established. No reason for the decision was provided. Following my termination, I made multiple attempts to contact the company regarding administrative questions and to obtain official documentation, but did not receive responses. The experience was unexpected and disruptive. Terminating an employee shortly after hiring, particularly without explanation, does not allow for a fair assessment of performance and can have significant personal and professional consequences. Clear communication and transparency are especially important during hiring and onboarding, and those standards were not met in this case.
