      Pros

      Good pay, very interesting technology, good benefits Very good people below management.

      Cons

      -Layoffs are frequent, but never a member of management. -Frequent shut downs, further indicating some management should be part of the layoffs. -Watch your back; frequent layoffs cultivates cut throat atmosphere, people are just trying to keep their job. -Engineers work 50-70 hours a week. Not a good place if you have a family or can't be available 24/7.

      Interesting manufacturing technology. Workforce with international composition. New equipment in an older fab. Experienced workforce but not necessarily in this technology. Nice location with mountain view. Products are in demand.

      Cons

      Tactical approach to management, not strategic, with a lot of short term changes in direction. Little emphasis on employee development.

      dpiX makes photo detectors arrays used in digital X-ray sensors for medical diagnosis applications. It is an interesting technology with unique technical challenges. The workforce at the facility is dedicated.

      Cons

      Organization is in the process of learning Lean manufacturing and waste reduction techniques.
