Pros
The people at Encompass are what make the company. I have had the privilege of meeting some really kind, thoughtful and hard working people in the last year. I started in Jan 2022, the onboarding was far superior to any I have experienced in any other company; the comprehensive onboarding learning path, personal intro videos from each Exec, Intro meetings with each department, Intro call with Wayne (CEO), follow up calls and checks in with Stuart (Talent Director), all these contribute to the feeling of being welcomed and belonging.
Cons
There have been some changes in the last few years, especially as the company headcount has increased significantly. This can be a difficult change for some people, but the support that has been provided for everyone really makes this manageable.

Pros
The rank-and-file are good people, benefits are fine, ample holiday, etc.
Cons
The gap between what they market as their capabilities and what their product can actually deliver is immense. It’s just a hyped-up point solution with a dysfunctional API. Then layer on a bunch of self-congratulatory marketing drivel positioned as “thought leadership” about “perpetual kyc” and “dynamic automation” and voila. In my opinion, It is mostly vapour. They make it seem like their product will solve a labourious manual KYC onboarding process through automation and time savings, but do not be fooled, lots of manual input will still be required for entity resolution, filling in due diligence gaps, reporting, etc. They tout their industry partnerships and data integrations, but in reality they don’t really have anything to offer partners, as evidenced by their almost complete lack of market presence. They also have no control over data integrations, which are sloppily done and take ages to get done besides. With what is happening now in development of AI/ML applications in financial crime, encompass just looks stale and tired. They could’ve done something meaningful a while back, but missed the window. Not a good place to work in sales - you won’t earn, sales cycles are extremely long, pricing is way off (over) the market, and you’ll risk your industry relationships, peddling a broken product.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Everyone is, of course, entitled to their own opinions, and we are sorry to hear that your time with us did not meet your expectations. Whilst there are always areas for improvement, we are extremely proud of our business, our solution and the value it brings to our numerous clients and partners. We feel the progress we are making is evidenced by the cadre of top global banks relying on Encompass every day, as well as through repeated industry accolades, such as the recent report from Juniper Research awarding Encompass as the leading RegTech vendor in its market assessment (link below). Sales is not an easy job, we are sorry you were not able to find the success with us that all sides wanted but wish you the very best in your next move. https://www.juniperresearch.com/pressreleases;/regtech-spend-to-surge-to-$207bn-globally?utm_campaign=pr1_regtech_financial_fintech_jun23&utm_source=linkedin&utm_medium=social

Pros
I've worked at Encompass for a number of years, and I'm pleased to be part of a company that is continuing to push itself to deliver for its customers and its employees. Since I began working for the company, our customer base has continued to grow, and there have been tangible efforts to support and recognise employees, with regular salary reviews, a rewards/benefits system and share options included. There are also regular company days to check-in across our multiple locations and recognise the efforts of teams and individuals in the business. Encompass has personally provided me the ability to contribute to a rapidly growing organisation and trusted me as an employee to be an important part of that growth, not just within my own role but also within our employee-led Equality, Diversity & Inclusion group. Encompass also supported employees during the recent pandemic, and there is ongoing support of remote working as well as social occasions in the office like coffee mornings as we adjust to the new normal, which has been really helpful in remaining in contact as a group.
Cons
There is an occasional ask to join calls and meetings outside of regular working hours to coordinate with our US and AU offices. Due to the size and complexity of our customers, there can often be a number of demands and deliverables we need to pull together to deliver in a short period of time, so the work can be extremely fast-paced.

Cons
Fast paced with shifting processes

Pros
The product is interesting and makes a difference. I could learn something new at Encompass every day, and there were opportunities to speak with many stakeholders in different interesting businesses worldwide. Engaged professionals can get promoted or moved roles after a while if they wish. The leadership team is outstanding, I have full confidence in them and in their plans to grow the company. The compensation package is good compared to the market, the work is hybrid so people can work from home when they wish.
Cons
Sometimes it takes time to develop new features for the product. There are many employees in Sydney, AU so sometimes there are early morning calls (UK) for those who like to sleep, but those are recorded.

Pros
Encompass leadership actively encourages all employees to raise their voices and regularly share feedback on their working environment respectfully and constructively. 90% of staff said they would recommend Encompass as a great place to work in Dec 2021 company survey. 87% identified Encompass as a people focussed organisation in Dec 2021 company survey. Responses to polls/surveys are anonymous so people feel safe to share open feedback about their working environment and their perceptions of how we are working together as a company.
Cons
Like many other companies, 2021 was a challenging year for all levels of the business. as everyone had to adjust working practices in line with frequently changing Covid regulations, and we also grew from 160 to 200 staff. To counter this situation of intense change, Encompass leadership approved a number of wellbeing initiatives across all regions, including: • introducing a fully flexible working policy that applies to the entire company • increasing annual leave for all staff to 35 days • providing on-tap confidential support via our People Team and Sanctus, our external personal coaching and mental health wellbeing service • established (now thriving) employee-led equality, diversity and inclusion working group

Thank you for the review, as always we appreciate any former employees feedback. As we have not had a Sales Manager located in Glasgow since 2017, it would indicate your employment with us was from some time ago. I am sure you can appreciate how much has changed since then, including huge advancements in our tech/product and also new funding (including our largest capital raise to date which happened earlier this year). You can view demos on the product, use cases from clients and also news on the funding round on our website, which may help display the changes that have happened since your time with us. Best wishes Stuart Aird Director of Talent, Encompass Corporation
