I have been working at iProperty.com full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Friendly working environment Office is beautiful, located at the penthouse and in a great location next to one of KL's biggest malls Fun and open working culture Flexible working hours and dress code is smart casual (pretty flexible too) Diverse, many nationalities working under the same roof

    Cons

People may tend to be a little "clique-y". Old employees don't welcome new employees as much. Some of them communicate too much in their own language making other people feel left out. Management sometimes doesn't really have a good feel of what is happening on the ground.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people, treat everyone fairly. People managers need more leadership skills to bring people together and to drive their team to better performance. Some people leaders are too junior and have no leadership skills at all.

I worked at iProperty.com full-time for less than a year

      Pros

flexible working hours and convenience as office situated at mall.

      Cons

Only hires one race, no diversity, keeps pulling people from their old companies, opportunities only given for boot lickers. whole company dominated by just the big bosses. Never here what the down lines have to say. always racist keeps saying hires must be of their race. No bonuses at all. work so hard yet not recognized. top management too free and care about their own people who they are close too. Name is Australian...

      Advice to Management

Give an opportunity to everyone. Be fair and have a diversity. Don't just hire your own people. Make sure they have qualities of a leader and are able to train their employees and be a good boss.

I have been working at iProperty.com full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Good culture, some of the managers make good leaders, flexible working hours

      Cons

Poor compensation & benefit practice, bonus pay-out is done mid year compared to the usual practice of year end or beginning of the year, HR Department works on silo mode, poor interaction between the HR and operations, limited opportunity for internal career progression and skill development, high turn over, lack of recognition and appreciation (only limited to those who are close to the management), majority of...

      Advice to Management

      1. Look into enabling Managers to be better Leaders 2. Listen and address your employees concerns. Analyze why people leave your organization and how you can improve attrition by creating a better environment. 3. Recognize and appreciate your employees...don't only recognize those who drink in mugs and 'stay up all night pretending to work' 4. Revolutionize your HR Dept....transform from back end ops to business partners...

      Pros

you could wfh or anywhere, subject to your boss. depending on your boss, not all managers are equal.

      Cons

incompetent would be the least harsh word to describe the management. the culture were lacking, you wouldn't feel welcomed nor any sense of belonging if you're slightly different. multiple factions based on skin color were common. diversity was just there at the surface level. being the dominant, the oriental kind were pretty much loved to stick to their own, speaking their own language. The australian company has become...

I worked at iProperty.com full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Best thing in this company : - the workload is fine if you have a good relationship with the upper level - working hour is flexible if you have a good relationship with the upper level - dress code is so freedom sometime you will feel yourself dress too much - huge office and plenty room for you to walk around when you have free time

      Cons

Problem : - company spending too much of money on moving office and commercial end up redundant seat happen. It's obvious that need to be covered up. The worker asked to leave in 24 hours and telling you is not your fault. - cutting down bonus and telling how well is your salary in this company (meaning don't even try to think about increment). - when having review time if the boss is not like you, he/she will walk...

      Advice to Management

Care about your teammate not only your favourite person from your team. Have some human heart on you, see people with your heart, not from another person's mouth. Be more respect and greet to them, when your teammate trying to say hi to you, worker never owes you thousands of dollars, I believe this is a basic manner.

      No Opinion of CEO

I worked at iProperty.com full-time for more than 8 years

      Pros

The hours are very flexible. Employees can come in at 10am and leave before 6pm when bosses are not around or if you're politically aligned with your bosses. Bosses are always (unneccessarily) travelling overseas which is good for the underlings. Dress code is very liberal. You can wear off shoulders, lowcuts, mini skirt and t shirts everyday and HR won't even say a word. Best part is, there is a playstation in the office...

      Cons

The company's spending is massive and unneccessarily huge to a point where it might already be in a negative cashflow position. As much as the management is trying to cover up it is starting to show. Employees are asked to leave within 24 hours (redundancy), bonus cut and increment cut. You're constantly reminded that the your salary is above market and is pressured into contributing more to the company. It may be a...
