Pros

This studio was a good place to work initially because there was potential for young animators right out of school to have more of an opportunity to be hired with little experience.

Cons

There was no potential to grow, I was taught nothing. There wasn't clear communication between myself and my producers. Over all very highly unprofessional place to work.

Pros

Co Workers were nice and location was convenient.

Cons

You do not get paid if there are no projects for you to do. Using a timer, you have to log every minute you work on a project that you are assigned to. Be prepared to sit and do nothing and waste your time while not getting paid.

Pros

Co-workers and free lunch on Wednesdays

Cons

Working at IdeaMachine is not the environment one might expect from a creative industry. Oddly enough, 'ideas' and suggestions are often shot down immediately, usually by the CEO. If the idea did not come from his brain directly, it's a definite no-go. Additionally, the CEO is a huge burden on the company's success and your individual work process. Don't be surprised if you are asked to do several tasks out in left field, and expect him to change his mind every five seconds then back it up with imaginary facts and percentages that make absolutely no logical sense. Honestly, just avoid working here at all cost. If you are wanting to go into the marketing/sales section of the company, expect to be micromanaged and constantly undermined. If you want to work in the animation/creative section, prepare yourself to be let go with very little warning when slow weeks roll in. You will be told that you will be "re-hired" when things pick up again, but I never witnessed that actually happen. If you are desperate for a job, then by all means apply, but don't expect to grow with the company. There is very little room to move up.
