Good, bad and ugly as hell

Pros

Because they tend to not train employees and throw them into the deep end, I benefited from gaining high level experience quickly and early in my career. There have been some incredible employees to have worked there, several were mentors of mine.

Cons

The CEO is a narcissist and liability to his own company. Senior management is constantly trying to cover his brutally insensitive, sexist, racist remarks. Whatever he feels like doing or saying is what he does and Management (probably paid extremely well) has to pick up the pieces and settle the insanity.

Pros

Smart and fun people to suffer with. The same pros as any basic agency: casual dress, beer, dogs are more than welcome, and you can bring your pooch too 😉

Cons

Modern boys club 👯 is alive and well here, as jokingly stated in above đŸ¶ comment. Female leadership left without taking a job somewhere else đŸ˜± 🙌 and started their own feminist company because that's just how bad Below par benefits package 👎 Although some leadership tries to protect their people, they would have to do so at the expense of their own job đŸ˜” The lack of process and experience of the tightly knit inner circle that runs the place đŸŽȘ holds back the agency's biggest assets, their people. đŸ‘šđŸ»â€đŸ’» 90% of work coming out is swept under the rug while a few show pony projects, some still from early 2000, are showcased đŸ€ą Deadlines and budgets are alarmingly terrible due to lack of experience and desperate times. đŸ€·â€â™€ïž You won't learn any new tricks here đŸ€čđŸœâ€â™‚ïž CEO is given printed out scripts 🎭 to read verbatim so he doesn't make a racist or sexist comment. đŸ€ą

Pros

This wonderfully styled building is full of some of the super smartest people you will ever meet. The amount of dedication to projects and clients is admirable. They advertise themselves as the coolest place to work and it IS the coolest place I've ever worked. Drinking at lunch is kosher, the bar is always stocked if you want a spirit during a meeting, and everyone is always working on something to be amazed by so pride comes naturally. They will roll out the red carpet to welcome you and encourage your networking within the company.

Cons

Their commitment to their "core" values is taken to a place beyond bizarre. The ambiguous nature of these values leaves so much room for interpretation that it is easy to build a case against you (and they will use it against you). I was told that I should be flattered to have gotten an offer because they were: a) looking for over 2 months to fill the position, b) very picky about who they hired; but then I was stuck not meeting the expectations of not meeting one of their core values and that became the emphasis of my employment. NOT the fact that my training manager left after 2-3 weeks of my arrival, NOT the fact that despite my training manager leaving I still took initiative, and NOT the fact that I persevered despite it being obvious they were building a case against me.
