Creative Developer salaries in United Kingdom

I feel like I will never be more than a deck designer. I’ve been in advertising for 9 years as a designer and studio production artist, trying to be promoted to an art director. I’ve had some small projects at my agency, but always on top of my designer workload. I have worked at WK and many other well known agencies, but I’m over 30, and wondering if I should give up and go to grad school for something else. It’s disheartening.

Interview process for a creative position at Apple corporate? I am currently a contractor in a creative position at Apple (think copywriter, art director etc) within Marcom, and I possibly have a recruiter call coming up with a different department, similar position. As a contractor I didn’t interview. All my research for what the interview process is like is almost all tech type jobs, software engineers etc.

Doing Creative for the City? Anyone know what it’s like to be on the creative team for a city dept? (Dept of transportation, etc). Like as a copywriter, art director, social, strategist etc. Do you get to really do creative stuff like you would at an agency? Would it make me wanna kill myself if I’m looking to do big campaigns and big ideas and have fun? Is it worth the benefits? Lmao. Thanks!

I’ve been a Sr. art director at my current agency for 2 years. Prior to that I was a Sr AD for 1 year. Someone on my team went from mid level AD to Art Supervisor within the same time I’ve been with the company. They jut got promoted after 11 months as a Sr. AD. I can’t help but feel bitter. Should I start looking? No promotion in sight and on my 3rd manager in 2 years (2 months under them) who is very condescending.
