Assistant District Attorney salaries in Texas

Any recruiters here that can help transition a JD hire lawyer in Big 4 consulting to a law firm? I have prior legal experience.

I am now thinking leaving a stable role, taking a pay cut and joining a start up as first counsel. I don’t know if this is the right move or not but I just feel like I need to do it. Many of us have made career decisions that seemed risky or unconventional at the time. Looking back, what was the best career move you made? And how did it work out in the end? I guess sometimes the most valuable career lessons come from decisions that weren’t obvious.

Wondering if this is a unique situation? Have been in my specialty for 10 years. MUCH senior attorney in a completely different specialty came in a few years ago, determines he doesn’t want to do his specialty anymore, identifies my specialty (which he has no experience) as what he would like to do instead. My company then creates a senior position for him in my specialty (which I previously asked for) which would have been the next step for me promotion wise. Anyone else?

Anyone gotten/considered a job at your kids school as part of coast FIRE? My kids are currently 3 and 1 and I plan to leave my high stress job around the time they go to elementary school. There isn’t much I want to do other than spend more time with them so I was thinking about trying to get a job at their public school because that would allow me to be with them after school, breaks, summer, etc. Not sure what I may be qualified for though (I’m an attorney).
