We’re delighted to announce the first winner of the Mark Gardner Award for Journalism, Mia Willemsen. This award has been set up in memory of Mark Gardner, a member of the AJ Bell Media Team who sadly passed away in 2022 and hopes to help aspiring journalists from The University of Salford. The winner's article will be published in Shares magazine and will receive a cash prize.
Yesterday, we hosted Andreena Leeanne in our Manchester office in celebration of Black History Month. Andreena discussed her journey, opening up about the hardships she has faced and reading through a few of her poems for AJ Bell staff. Our staff were also treated to some delicious West African vegan food from gwafuvegan.
