Safety starts long before the job begins, and this week we’re recognizing hashtag#NationalWorkZoneAwarenessWeek. Our teams are focused on the training, awareness and precautions that keep everyone safe – because at APAC MS/TN, safety means making sure everyone gets home. For Delta Traffic Coordinator James Clowers, safety means “everything – keeping our team and the traveling public as safe as possible, so we can all go home to our families the same way we left them.” He also stays ahead by reviewing the next day’s work zone, assessing hazards and planning in advance to keep his crew safe. #NWZAW #WorkZoneSafety #SafeActionsSaveLives
Safety, leadership, and collaboration took center stage at the Annual Safety Leadership Conference in Tupelo. Over two days, our team shared best practices, strengthened our safety culture, and celebrated!
Employee Appreciation Day may have been last week, but our appreciation for this team is year-round. From the field to the office, our employees are the reason we’re able to do what we do every day.

APAC was proud to participate as a trade partner in the 6th Annual FORGE Your Path Career Expo last week, where more than 50 organizations from across Mississippi came together to provide over 2,200 eighth-grade students with an unforgettable, hands-on learning experience. Alongside our fellow trade partners, the FORGE Expo helps to introduce students to the world of construction and skilled trades through interactive exhibits, equipment demonstrations, and meaningful conversations with industry professionals. The event gave students a chance to experience the skills, teamwork, and innovation that drive our industry and our communities forward. We’re honored to be part of this event that inspires the next generation of builders, creators, and innovators while supporting FORGE’s mission to strengthen Mississippi’s future workforce!

As more people hit the roads for the holidays, we’re taking extra precautions at our construction sites to help ensure your safety. Crews are checking for clear signage, securing equipment away from the road, and addressing any potential hazards. We want every work zone to be safe and easy to navigate—because protecting you and your family is always part of the job.
Progress is rolling on our Highway 51 paving project in Madison County! From base repairs and right-of-way clearing to modernized traffic signals, we’ve completed the prep work and are now milling and paving the final surface of this 9-mile stretch. Over 27,800 tons of asphalt will transform the roadway, with completion expected early spring 2026.
