It was double celebrations for us last week, as we opened two beautifully refitted stores in York and Leeds’ White Rose Centre following an investment of over £1.5m. The locations have an extensive diamond and bridal jewellery offering, and so our team of experts will assist customers with those extra special engagement and wedding ring purchases in a private consultation area, positioning Beaverbrooks as a true diamond and wedding destination in York and Leeds. This has enabled us to create new jobs and opportunities in each area, as well as support our local high streets and expand our portfolio to 83 stores – and we look forward to providing exceptional levels of customer service, expertise and passion for diamonds, jewellery and watches. Our MD, Anna recently spoke to Isabella Fish, the new retail editor The Times about Beaverbrooks record Christmas trading, and our strong diamond growth with diamond ring sales up 12.7% year-on-year. Our rise in engagement ring sales would suggest that the pandemic helped couples realise that they want to spend the rest of their lives together – a trend we’re also seeing with wedding rings too. As 2022 draws to a close, I’d like to take moment to reflect on another incredible year for Beaverbrooks and thank our Beaverbrooks Family and loyal customers, as you have made this possible. We’ve had an exceptional year financially and we were absolutely thrilled to be named Best Retailer To Work For at this year’s Best Companies Awards, as well as being recognised with sixth place in the category of 100 Best Large Companies to Work For. I’m also very proud to share that we’ve also hit the £20m milestone in charitable donations, and have supported over 1,000 charities since the year 2000. As always, our stores will remain closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, so that our amazing colleagues can enjoy spending quality time with their loved ones. Congratulations to our Beaverbrooks Norwich team, who are celebrating the re-opening of their newly refurbished store and TAG Heuer boutique in Chantry Place shopping centre, following a £1.25m investment. Shoppers in East Anglia can choose from an expanded luxury watch range, exploring the revamped and upsized TAG Heuer boutique. Customers will also find OMEGA, Hublot and TUDOR shop-in-shop spaces, a dedicated Gucci area and a Parmigiani Fleurier offering, alongside Beaverbrooks’ diamond and jewellery. The store features an exclusive ‘bridal room,’ where shoppers can consult with our expert team to choose pieces for their special days and a bar area, where customers can enjoy a glass of something celebratory whilst deciding on their purchase.
