In October, Bumble celebrated what Black love means in Britain today with 31 stories over 31 days. We featured British artists, actors, athletes, entrepreneurs and activists aiming to better represent the breadth of real and uniquely British, Black love stories. It’s just the first step, but in a culture where almost 3 in 4 Black people across the UK don’t see themselves represented in mainstream romantic narratives, we hoped to ignite a conversation by celebrating real love stories from Black British communities — and to inspire others to share their #MyLoveIsBlackLove stories.
