The final day of the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Exhibition saw a fantastic turnout, concluding three days of engaging interactions. We highlighted Captec Subsystem Engineering’s capabilities in sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, painting & finishing, electro-mechanical integration, and build-to-print metalwork engineering services. Our new CNC machine attracted significant interest. It was great to reconnect with existing customers and make new connections, which we look forward to developing in the near future.

D-Day Support: Supporting the Royal British Legion: http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vM9Si For this year’s 75th anniversary, we are supporting The Royal British Legion, a charity at the very heart of a national network that provides care and assistance to the Armed Forces community. From expert advice and guidance through to recovery, rehabilitation and transitioning to civilian life, the Legion is by their side every step of the way. And it’s not just members of the Armed Forces but their families too. To support this fantastic charity, we will publish a post on LinkedIn on Wednesday 5th June. For each LIKE, COMMENT or SHARE we receive on this post, we will donate 50 pence to The Royal British Legion. The total count is capped at a maximum of 500 engagements and excludes Captec employees. We will run the total count on Friday 7th June at 12:00 noon. So please get involved to help us hit our maximum donation!
Delighted to announce we are the recipient of our second Queen’s Award for Enterprise at Captec. This time for the Innovation category which recognises our company’s creativity and work in the development of a new product line of ergonomic, multi-purpose enterprise tablets and charging solutions. Our innovations spanned both technological areas, as well as process innovations to extend our manufacturing, servicing and supply chain management processes from low volume high value, to encompass much higher volume manufacturing and servicing. It’s an award that recognises the broad spectrum of contributors from all our staff involved in this new product line, our supply chain partners who helped us realise the product and fulfil demand, and our valued customers who put their trust in us. Our greatest success to date with the product line has been in Bingo Gaming Tablets, for which we are truly grateful to our early adopter customers who helped us through the teething journey. Another very proud milestone for Captec! Looking forward to a year of celebrations!
The month is nearly over so we’d better announce the winner of the Captec Movember competition! There’s been plenty of support, some good efforts and some bad... But the undeniable winner is Purchasing Manager, Andrew McLeod, with his rather amazing goatee! A big congratulations goes to all our team and everybody who participated in Movember across the country, raising crucial funds and awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s mental health. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQhGD
