Learning starts with the inclusive work environment and continuous practice! Recently, multiple new starters took part in a 3-day instructor-led workshop delivered by one of our internal experts. Here, they learnt the basic fundamentals of the energy domain and our products. This included the basics of power system components and power system economics and an introduction to PLEXOS & PLEXOS Cloud with Basic Modelling. Followed by a new starter team lunch, it was a wonderful event of learning, connection and community!
We are proud to announce that we are the recipient of United States Energy Association's (USEA) 2022 Corporate Volunteer of the Year Award. Energy Exemplar’s unprecedented contribution to the USAID/USEA Energy Technology and Governance Program is accelerating the clean energy transition in Europe and Eurasia, a region challenged by its dependence on fossil energy and fuel from Russia. Energy Exemplar provided an extended trial of its innovative PLEXOS software and training to a dozen Eastern European natural gas transmission system operators. Together, we are charting a clean energy future for the region. Energy Exemplar’s generous contributions to Eastern Europe’s energy security embodies the spirit of corporate citizenship that underlies USEA’s long term partnership with USAID.
Earlier this month, our EMEA team held their first internal in-person event, the Team Group Meeting (or TGM)! With over 50 staff from across the globe, this was the first time all EMEA employees came together since 2020. Many on the team started during the pandemic, this was also the first time many had the chance to meet in person! Using our London office and a neighbouring hotel for meeting spaces, this event was held over 4 days and consisted of group meetings, product updates, workshops and team building activities. To finish off the TGM, a dinner party was held high above the River Thames in the Tower Bridge walkways, providing beautiful nighttime views of the city and the Tower of London.
