First Watch Named a Best Place to Work in Consumer Services for 2026 First Watch is proud to share that we’ve been recognized as a winner of Glassdoor’s 2026 Employees’ Choice Awards, earning a spot on the list of Best Places to Work in Consumer Services. What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that, unlike other workplace awards, there is no self‑nomination or application process. This honor is based entirely on the voluntary and anonymous feedback shared by our employees on Glassdoor. A huge thank you to our employees for their honest feedback and continued support. Your insights help us grow, improve, and remain a great place to work.

🐾 Happy National Pet Day! 🐾 At First Watch, we believe that a happy workplace is a productive workplace, and what better way to boost happiness than by bringing our furry friends to work? 🐶 In honor of National Pet Day, we celebrate the joy and companionship our pets bring into our lives. Our culture of bringing dogs to work not only brightens our days but also fosters a sense of community and well-being among our team members. Whether it's a wagging tail greeting us in the morning or a playful pup joining our meetings, our four-legged friends make our office a more vibrant and enjoyable place to be.
We have officially opened our doors to the Hanover, Massachusetts community. This restaurant marks our entry into Boston and New England – but it symbolizes so much more. We are genuinely humbled – and thrilled – to announce that First Watch has been named the #1 Most Loved Workplace® in America by Newsweek and the Best Practice Institute. This recognition is a testament to our 14,000 employees nationwide – and the “You First” culture they bring to life within our four walls and in their communities. They are the driving force behind everything we do – and they inspire us daily. Newsweek’s annual Most Loved Workplaces® list is determined by surveying more than 2.6 million employees from businesses with workforces varying in size from less than 50 to more than 10,000. The coveted list recognizes companies based on employee response around satisfaction and sentiment including the level of respect, collaboration, support, and sense of belonging they feel at work.

Life happens. Employees – and their kids and loved ones – get sick, and sometimes, care falls through. Unexpected curveballs call for last-minute preparations. That’s why earlier this year, we began offering backup childcare and eldercare to all our employees. Chief People Officer Laura Sorensen recently spoke with Alicia Kelso at Nation's Restaurant News about this meaningful investment in building a better quality of life for our people.
