Following on from our DEI strategy launch last week, we're thrilled to feature in Insurance Business UK's 5-Star Diversity, Equity and Inclusion 2023 awards, a testament to the inspiring workplace initiatives and milestones already achieved by our fantastic colleagues this year. 👏 The awards celebrate forward-thinking companies that support, respect and champion their employees. Gemma Jackson, our UK&I Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, said: "We're so proud to have been awarded 'Best Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace in the UK'. Thank you to everyone who has engaged with us and helped make our employee experience the best it can be for colleagues from all backgrounds. "Our new DEI strategy highlights the steps we are taking to push our focus even further and I can't wait to see what we collectively achieve over the next six months."
We’re thrilled to be named in the Insurance Business UK annual ‘Top Insurance Employers 2023’ list. 🏆 A huge thank you to our incredible colleagues who ranked us so highly in areas including benefits, compensation, culture, employee development and diversity and inclusion. 📝 We’re proud to have worked so closely with our staff to build a better future and collectively achieve our goals. Here’s to another fantastic year as a team. ☀️
Last year our wonderful staff collectively volunteered 3,370 hours and supported more than 15,000 people as part of our employee volunteering scheme to help build resilient communities – this is triple the amount of time when compared with the previous year. 💝 We achieved these figures in just six months and are now aiming to double our contributions in 2023, with a target of 800 employees accessing opportunities through our community partner Neighbourly. With 63% of charities currently reporting an increased demand for their services, this would result in the financial equivalent of donating £180,000. 🎗️
We are proud to have launched our new Carers’ Policy to support colleagues with significant caring responsibilities for disabled dependents. 💖 An initiative driven by our brilliant RSA Families Employee Resource Group, we appreciate our colleagues’ generosity and openness in sharing their personal circumstances which helped shape this policy to provide additional days of paid leave to carers. 📅 This will help reinforce that annual leave is essential for everyone and can be used to rest and recharge, enabling colleagues to be their best self at work and at home. 🌟 It also complements our existing ‘Time-out leave’ policy and Carers’ Cafe support groups which are available to all RSA team members.
