MAG Interactive’s Q3 Interim Report September – May 2023/2024 has been officially released. 📈 “We are pleased to report yet another profitable quarter, generating cash and maintaining stable daily active users (DAU) quarter over quarter. We saw Q3 revenues amount to 71 MSEK, a 2% decline relative to Q2. DAU remained steady at 1.1M – the same as Q2 and Q1 – showcasing the robustness of our core business. User acquisition (UA) investments increased by 4 MSEK relative to Q2, which is positive, but not quite at the level needed to get the business back to growth mode. Our cash position improved to 116 MSEK while EBITDA stood at 18 MSEK, resulting in a healthy EBITDA margin of 26%. “Our new crossword game Crozzle’s soft launch continues to develop well. The game shows strong retention as well as healthy return on UA investments. These positive results encourage us to gradually scale up marketing efforts and expand the tests to additional markets. While not yet globally launched, we expect Crozzle to achieve this milestone in the coming months. The team’s hard work is paying off and if the game progresses on this trajectory, Crozzle will become a strong long-term addition to our word game portfolio.'
MAG Interactive’s Q4 Interim Report 2022/2023 has been officially released. 📈 MAG’s net sales reached 80 MSEK in Q4, a decrease of 11% compared to the same quarter the previous year. Adjusted EBITDA grew to 25 MSEK, resulting in an adjusted EBITDA-margin of 31%. The financial year 2022/23 ends with record revenues of 362 MSEK and results in an adjusted EBITDA of 58 MSEK. Read the full Q4 Interim Report here: ➡️ https://lnkd.in/d_exGds “The last three years’ average revenue growth rate is 18%, while being consistently profitable on a yearly basis. “Summarizing the fourth quarter on a financial level, we generated 80 MSEK in revenues and an adjusted EBITDA of 25 MSEK. In Q4 our UA investments were at a significantly lower level than a year ago - 15 MSEK compared to 43 MSEK. This impacted daily active users (DAU) and average revenue per daily active user (ARPDAU) and hence overall revenues in a negative way as fewer highly monetizing players came into the games during the quarter. The game contribution on the other hand, i.e. net sales minus platform fees and UA spend, came in at 54 MSEK - compared to 35 MSEK in Q4 last year. “We have done a lot of market testing during Q4 for our two biggest non-released titles. The product performance for both games has increased significantly throughout the quarter, but we choose not to release games until we see that it will be possible to competitively invest in UA, and we are currently not at that point."

MAG Interactive’s Q3 Interim Report 2022/2023 has been officially released. 📈 MAG shows strengthened profitability, with a 16% revenue growth adjusted for a transfer bonus last year. Net sales reached 89 MSEK and ARPDAU grew 22% compared to the same quarter the previous year. “The previous quarters’ user acquisition (UA) investments are continuing to pay off and our disciplined approach to fixed costs ensures that the profitability quickly shows when UA investments decrease. “Our financial goal as a company is to grow significantly faster than the industry average while generating an EBIT margin of 20%. Given the profitability profile we require from our UA operations we would be able to achieve that goal when we get to around 125 MSEK in quarterly revenues. We believe this goal is both achievable and inspiring. “We currently have two games that we internally consider to be soft launch candidates. This means that we have a good view of what the products will become, promising early metrics and a team ready to build the content needed for more scaled up tests. “We are proud of our track record of hit games over the last ten years as well as our doubling in size of the business since 2018. But the future is always more exciting than the past and we are confident that the best is yet to come for MAG,” says Daniel Hasselberg, CEO at MAG Interactive. The Q3 Interim Report 2022/2023 will be presented live on Twitch today at 10:00 CET by CEO Daniel Hasselberg and CFO Magnus W
On this #OneSpecialDay, all revenues from across MAG's games made in the UK will go towards the fundraiser to help bring the magic of gaming to people with disabilities! 💙 🤗 If you want to join the cause, you can play our games today from the UK or visit ➡️ SpecialEffect to contribute. “SpecialEffect does outstanding work year-round for gamers with disabilities. One Special Day is therefore a very important fundraiser, and we hope that our participation can help them a bit on the way to reaching their fundraising goals so that they in turn can help more gamers play their favourite games,” says Daniel Hasselberg, CEO at MAG Interactive.
