Dr. Ron Glickman (NU, AAS ‘79, BBA ‘80) is currently the CIO at Trader Joe’s Company and a proud NU alumnus. Since completing his BBA with NU in 1980, Ron has also earned an MBA and his Ed.D., but he credits the bachelor’s degree with setting him on a successful career path. Ron says it wasn’t only that the degree opened doors for him professionally, but it also gave him the confidence in his personal ability to learn and internalize new ideas.
It’s time to meet another innovator, Dr. Maria Antonia Rodriguez! As the Associate Director of Faculty Support and Development, Maria is a rockstar who helps faculty achieve their maximum potential while inspiring students. “I train and evaluate faculty with humility and respect, highlighting their strengths and the assets they bring to the organization. When difficult situations arise, and faculty need support to guide their students, I partner with them to identify a plan of action to help the student succeed and not lead to burnout in the faculty.” Maria wears many hats as a mother, wife, psychologist, researcher, and the first woman in her family to live and work internationally, and we couldn’t be more proud to have her support and leadership!
Say hello to an accomplished mover and shaker: Sheno Fuzita! 👋 Sheno is our Executive Director National Partnerships, Workforce Education Solutions, leading numerous national partnerships that require cross-collaboration across our university, including Amazon Career Choice. “Working with other people to accomplish a large goal is such a rewarding experience. I like the incremental wins that we achieve together and seeing the excitement that others have with those same wins that they may not have thought possible.” Sheno exemplifies leadership by working to let others shine, and we are so fortunate to have her as a leader in our community. Let’s put the spotlight on Elizabeth Schoenthal! 👏 Liz is our Operations Training Specialist with over 15 years of experience in the higher education industry. She has played a part in multiple major transitions in the university and has trained staff in several departments. Along with being an advocate for mental health and neurodiversity awareness, Liz strives to empower the people around her every day. “When I am training someone, I want them to come out of it feeling like they have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their new position or piece of technology that I’ve trained them on. With the team I am on I welcome interacting with the other trainers as we learn from each other. In whatever I am doing, I hope to be a positive and helpful influence.” Liz is such a great role model and we’re so grateful to have her as part of the #NUfam! 🙌
