Proud to share that OakNorth was part of the cross-sector Taskforce behind the new UK SME Voluntary Emissions Standard, launched today at the House of Commons by B4NZ and The Broadway Initiative. Designed to address one of the biggest challenges SMEs face on the path to net zero – disjointed and burdensome emissions data requests – this new framework: - Simplifies sustainability reporting - Enables “create once, share many” data sharing - Aligns with key frameworks like PPN 006 - Unlocks access to green finance and procurement This is practical infrastructure for a just, investable net zero economy – and we’re proud to have played a part. The launch coincides with our wider involvement in London Climate Action Week: 📍 This afternoon, Valentina Kristensen, our Corporate Affairs Director, is attending the SME Data Taskforce Report launch, followed by the B4NZ Parliamentary Reception, where our Chairman, Lord Adair Turner, will be speaking. 📍 Tomorrow, Valentina will be at Reset Connect, meeting sustainability partners and hearing from industry experts. Earlier this month, we proudly sponsored Bloomsbury Football Foundation’s Supporters’ Summer Drinks Reception at the UK House of Lords, hosted by Lord Iain McNicol of West Kilbride. The event celebrated a major milestone: Bloomsbury now supports over 6,000 young people each week across London, and offered a look ahead at their exciting plans for growth. A standout moment came from Hawa, a 16-year-old member of the Refugee and Asylum Seeker Programme, who spoke with confidence and heart about the impact of safe, inclusive sport. At OakNorth, we’re committed to backing organisations that deliver lasting impact. Supporting Bloomsbury in creating space for young people to thrive - physically, mentally and socially - is a privilege.
OakNorth's co-founder and CEO, Rishi Khosla, was on Bloomberg TV's The Pulse with Francine Lacqua this morning, discussing entrepreneurship, policy, OakNorth's US expansion, and future plans.
