Our Top Achievers Club trip to Dubrovnik is just 244 days away. The Advanced Top Achievers Club is the award given annually to the top performing individuals at Advanced. Our 2020 Top Achievers will have a fantastic opportunity to join a VIP trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia with a guest of their choice.
Every year, as patrons of The Prince's Trust, we encourage our employees to join the 'Million Makers' challenge. This is held by the Trust to raise £10,000 for charity, whist developing the professional and entrepreneurial skills of our staff. In 2020, the 'Million Movers' banded together to produce the 'Around the World Challenge' - a fun activity in which staff can collaborate with their friends and family to virtually travel the world! From 24 to 30 August, participants will receive emails outlining the daily steps challenge (all under 10,000 steps) and an activity they need to complete before the end of the day. The winning teams will be those who complete the steps in the shortest period over the week and those who raise the most money fundraising as a team!

Following on from our latest NPS survey, our score was recently announced, having risen from +22 in December 2019 to +24. This is our highest ever score and is a great achievement given the unpredictable time we are in and the difficulties everyone has faced this year. It is a particularly positive reflection on our customer-facing teams and the continued support they have provided. For each survey response Advanced donated £1 to NHS Charities Together, so in total, we have made a charitable donation of £2,189 - well done to everyone involved!
Having seen the shocking pictures of the litter on Bournemouth beach shortly after lockdown restrictions eased, some of our colleagues from the Product Management and Pre-Sales Teams decided to do their bit for the environment. Using our Volunteering Leave scheme, they took a paid afternoon off work to litter pick and make a difference in their local communities. Not only was this a great way to give something back, but the teams could reunite after months of working at home, even enjoying a well-deserved socially distanced picnic at the end!
Our facilities team have been working hard to get our offices ready for the safe return of our staff.
The next Advanced customer Net Promoter Score (NPS) survey went live on Wednesday 1 July and it will run for two weeks. The responses we receive help drive improvements across the business, enable us to track our progress and continually improve and offer the best customer experience possible. For every completed NPS survey, Advanced will make a donation to NHS Charities Together - These vital funds and services are above and beyond what the NHS alone can provide, touching lives and making a huge difference to millions of people when they are at their most vulnerable.
Advanced’s annual 24-hour Hackathon takes place this year on 2/3 July! Individuals come together to form teams around a problem or idea, and compete to develop the best solution – from scratch. This year there are three categories; MyWorkplace Applets, APIs in Motion and The Testathon. A great chance to exercise creativity and implement new concepts, we can’t wait to see what this year produces!
Congratulations to Laura McCann who won the latest Advanced Virtual Quiz this week. The Charity Committee have now raised over £3700 for three fantastic charities - Mind, Age UK and The Trussell Trust. Thank you to everyone that joined the quiz and made a donation.
