Q: What do you love about working at a creative media company like Viacom? A: I love my team, the opportunities I’ve been given along the way and Viacom's focus on diversity and inclusion. This is something I’ve always been passionate about. I love that we have a variety of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). I am a member of the BEAT (Black Employee Affinity Team), and it has given me access to so many people across our other various brands and functions. Q: Can you talk to us about your role at the BEAT? A: I’m on the executive board of The BEAT and work with the larger leadership team to plan company-wide events. It is such a rewarding position; we’re constantly receiving emails from employees thanking us for hosting engaging events. I love that we’re able to build connections between employees through our organization.

Q: What do you remember most about your Viacom internship? A: I had the best internship experience here! From the beginning, my team trusted in my ability to handle different projects. Coming in, I had a number of administrative tasks thrown at me, but I proved my ability to complete them and quickly ramped up to larger projects. By the end, I was interviewing intern candidates for the upcoming fall semester. It was such a rewarding experience and I knew this was where I wanted to be when I graduated. Q: Did you learn anything as an intern that has remained with you throughout your career? A: I learned how to juggle tasks and prioritize assignments. It’s important to show your team the amount of work you’re able to handle so they continue to give you impactful projects. It sounds cliché, but hard work can really go a long way.
