Proximo Group has chosen Pancreatic Cancer Action as our Charity of the Year for 2026 in memory of our much-loved colleague, Janet Alcock, who sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer last year after 25 years with the business. Janet was a hugely respected member of our team, and this partnership reflects our commitment to supporting the charity’s important work to improve awareness, encourage earlier diagnosis and help save lives. Recently, Tony Lewis took on the challenge of running a full marathon in support of Pancreatic Cancer Action, completing the 26.2 miles in an impressive 5 hours and 25 minutes. This is a fantastic achievement that we are incredibly proud to recognise.

There’s nothing like fresh pancakes in the office to bring people together. From the classic lemon and sugar to some more inventive combinations (toffee sauce and Kinder bits included 👀), a couple of weeks ago we had a great opportunity to pause between meetings and catch up with a sweet treat. It might seem small, but taking time to enjoy something simple together is a big part of what makes Proximo Group what it is.
People Spotlight: Remi Bell This week, we’d like to recognise Remi Bell, Delivery Driver at our Coventry branch, following some lovely feedback we received from a customer. The review highlighted how Remi took the time to listen, stay calm, and keep the customer informed during what could have been a stressful situation. That reassurance and clear communication made a real difference and helped the customer feel supported throughout. At Proximo, great customer service is about being patient, understanding and reliable. This feedback shows exactly how Remi brings those values to life in his day-to-day work. Earlier this week, a team from the Group headed over to Chester Zoo to get behind the scenes and be part of something truly inspiring. Through our corporate partnership, we joined an exciting conservation project to record and monitor wildlife on-site - supporting the Zoo’s vital work in protecting the incredible species that call it home. This unique, hands-on experience brought our people even closer to the Zoo’s mission, deepening our connection to the natural world and reinforcing our commitment to purpose-driven action.
