Riveron’s employee resource group RiverBEST (Black Employee Support Team) took us on an extraordinary Unexpected Virtual Tours (UVT) for Black History Month to celebrate this year’s theme “African Americans and the Arts.” Led by the UVT team, we learned more about the origins of Black History Month through the inspiring story of Dr. Carter Woodson, a historian and author whose contributions led to the establishment of #BHM. In the presentation, we enjoyed a virtual guided tour of historical black neighborhoods in the Atlanta and DC area, with pit stops at stunning mural artwork, historical homes like the birthplace of MLK Jr., and fascinating statues—all of which illustrated the rich history of black artists, historians, and leaders in America. In the words of Dr. Carter Woodsen, "Truth comes to us from the past, then, like gold washed down from the mountains." #RiveronLife #BlackHistoryMonth
Howdy from Houston! In anticipation of the Houston Rodeo, we rounded up some of our clients and partners for a Boots & Bourbon event held at the luxury western apparel store, Pinto Ranch!
