Sedgemoor Farm Shop The ribbon has been cut on our latest innovation is now open on the M5 - introducing the Sedgemoor Farm Shop. The new store, proudly showcases the finest artisan produce from over 40 local Somerset producers as we offer motorists a taste of the county whilst supplying sustainable sourced, seasonally produce with a whole host of local businesses.
Co-op Work has now been completed on the opening of our eight new Roadchef & Co-op stores, as we continue to change the face of motorway services with a brand that boasts a high-quality, sustainably sourced product range for on-the-road eating or convenient shopping for later. We’re excited to share with you the winner of Roadchef Costa Barista of the Year 2025 competition! After intense day yesterday of much crafting, tasting, and caffeine-fuelled deliberation, we have now our delegates to go into external Costa Coffee Barista of the Year competition. Well done Noah from Norton Canes -His knowledge, skills and composure impressed our judges the most.
We love celebrating success at Roadchef, and each year we take the opportunity to bring together our incredible Everyday Heroes for a special evening event that recognises their outstanding work and achievements. The night concludes with two of our most prestigious awards: Everyday Hero of the Year and Service Area of the Year. This year, Dawn Kent from Norton Canes was named Caring Hero of the Year. Although Dawn couldn’t be there in person, a colleague proudly accepted the award on her behalf. We’re also thrilled to announce that Norton Canes was crowned Site of the Year! A huge congratulations to the entire team—what an amazing achievement!
Last week, we bid farewell to our CEO, Mark Fox, who has been with Roadchef for seven remarkable years. During his tenure, Mark led us through the challenges of the Covid pandemic, achieved Investor in People Platinum status, and secured a Best Companies 3 Star accreditation—among many other accolades and milestones. While we wish Mark all the very best for the future, we’re pleased to welcome Tim Gittins as he steps into the role and takes the reins from Mark.

January has been a busy month for us at Roadchef. We are delighted and super proud to have opened our brand new Folkestone Services on the M20 in Kent. Ivor and his team have worked exceptionally hard to ensure the opening went without a hitch. The opening has been an all round effort from all the departments and we are excited to welcome customers into our McDonald's, Costa, WHSmith and Gaming area.
We love giving back and our Company charity is Alzheimer's UK and we are very proud of the new partnership. We also support local charities and groups. Our team at Norton Canes offer support to a number of local charities with one being the Birmingham Dogs Home. They will be heading to the home just before Christmas to deliver their third delivery this year of donated toys, food and bedding and a massive £1200 thanks to the generosity of our team and customers.
