Here at Sandown, we are proud to support a number of technician apprentices in developing their careers through the achievement and recognised qualification, whilst gaining hands on experience in a real work environment. The apprentices are studying towards Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician level 3 qualification. They attend college on a block release basis and learn on the job with us during their time in the workshops, as well as learning alongside a technician mentor. Once fully qualified, apprentices may have the opportunity to join on a permanent basis as a Mercedes-Benz approved technician and further their career in the motor industry. Sandown Group has celebrated an exciting year of expansion by being crowned Mercedes-Benz Retailer of the Year for 2020 and 2021. The company was chosen as the best Mercedes-Benz retail group in the UK for its outstanding performance in every area of the business over the past two years. The award was presented at a special ceremony hosted by TV celebrity Dermot O’Leary at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, Surrey, where Sandown representatives received the trophy and were also praised for their achievements in customer services and new car sales. During 2021, Sandown strengthened its presence across southern England with the acquisition of Mercedes-Benz Retailers in Newbury and Epsom and the opening of a brand new Mercedes-Benz Aftersales Van Centre in Poole. The additional sites joined existing locations in Basingstoke, Dorchester, Farnborough, Guildford, Hindhead, Poole and Salisbury.
