Sartorius closed the first half of the year with a positive trend in sales revenue development. Due to the ongoing high volatility and limited predictability, however, the company is now de-risking its outlook for the second half of the year. "Sartorius met its targets for the first half of the year, and we achieved the intended slight sales revenue growth and robust profitability in the second quarter. As in the first three months, the picture remained exceptionally mixed," said CEO Joachim Kreuzburg. "In the medium and long term, the mega topics of hashtag#healthcare and hashtag#biotechnology remain strong structural drivers for our profitable growth strategy, and the increased volatility caused by the pandemic has not made any difference to this.” ➡️ Moderately positive revenue development in Q2 ➡️ Demand recovery remains muted ➡️ Full-year outlook deliberately more cautious ➡️ Long-term trends in life sciences & biopharma remain positive Read media release: https://lnkd.in/emm-3rNs
Transforming water use in filter production: Potential to save over 50 million liters annually. Filter production demands significant amounts of purified water. Ghiath Wahbi, Project Manager for Separation Technologies, and his team introduced a prototype for a water recycling system for filter production, enabling the reuse of the vital resource. This invention can not only conserve water but also reduce energy costs and carbon emissions. Discover more about this innovative project on the Sartorius blog: https://ow.ly/pq4v50SwSVC
Heart failure affects an estimated 40 to 60 million individuals globally. Find out how Sartorius and the biotech company Repairon are hashtag#InThisTogether for a cure Shortly after birth, our heart muscle cells lose their ability to divide. This means that damage such as a heart attack leads to an irreversible loss of these cells. As a result, the heart's ability to pump effectively decreases, which can lead to heart failure. For over two decades, the team at Repairon has been researching to develop the so-called heart patch. This new heart tissue is artificially grown from stem cells in the lab and then sewn onto special membranes compatible with the human body. No vaccine was available against the virus – until Sartorius’ customer Valneva had their vaccine approved by the FDA in late 2023.
