Sartorius expects profitable growth in 2024 “2023 was a very unusual and challenging year for our industry. Customer destocking and other factors had a longer and more pronounced impact on the business than initially anticipated. We therefore ended the year with a decline in sales revenue, while profitability remained at a healthy level and above the pre-pandemic mark due to an adjusted cost base. Many customers are further advanced in optimizing their inventories. Business has thus picked up since the third quarter, and we expect this trend to gradually intensify in the course of 2024,” said CEO Joachim Kreuzburg. ➡️ Preliminary 2023 results in line with forecast ➡️ Demand recovery in both divisions in the fourth quarter ➡️ 2024 guidance: group expects profitable growth ➡️ Investment in innovation, customer proximity, resilience, sustainability ➡️ 2028 ambition: average annual sales revenue increase of more than 10%, profit margin to increase to ~34% Read media release: https://srtrs.info/tv3j8

The complexity of drug discovery, especially with the advent of 3D cell culture systems and cell and gene therapies, presents new challenges. Sartorius addresses these by asking: “How can we make it simpler?” – a question that reflects our approach to accelerating the development and production of new medicines. The vision for an integrated end-to-end solution, says René Fáber, Head of Bioprocess Solutions at Sartorius, is: “You just put your cell culture vessels inside a robot, push the button, and run 24 experiments in a week instead of 12 in three months – and that’s a realistic expectation of what our systems can bring to clients.” Read more about where our heads of division, René Fáber and Alexandra Gatzemeyer, one of the founders of CellGenix, Felicia Rosenthal, and our Head of Product Development Lab Products & Solutions, Thomas Duensing, see these innovations going in Science magazine: https://ow.ly/YOTk50QpQ2w
